Phil Keoghan Weighs in on Possible Celebrity Edition of ‘The Amazing Race’ (Exclusive)

CBS is moving forward with another season of Celebrity Big Brother, which will return in February. One of the network’s other well-known reality shows, such as Fantastic race – follow suit with their own celebrity editions? According to host Phil Keoghan, who spoke to PopCulture.com about Season 33 of Fantastic race, this is something he has thought about before and even has some ideas for who should join the cast granted Celeb Amazing Race never materializes.

Fantastic race has aired since 2001. While several well-known personalities have appeared on the show in the past, there has never been a full cast of famous contestants. Could this change in the future? Keoghan said there have been discussions about a possible celebrity edition “for years.” In fact, he has had celebrities come to him to throw their hats in the ring.

“Different celebrities came to me and told me they would like to be on the show,” Keoghan recalls. “From memory, I remember very early on that Neil Patrick Harris stopped me at one point during an event and wanted to go.” The host went on to say that he had heard rumors that several others, possibly including Sarah Jessica Parker and Drew Barrymore, would be interested in continuing. TAR. He added: “I don’t know how many of these rumors are true and I also don’t know if they all realize how difficult it is… I’m sure there are some tough and hardened celebrities who could. To do .” Keoghan also recalled that Leslie Jones shared how much she wanted to participate in the competition, noting that she would certainly bring humor to the series.

Suffice it to say that Keoghan would be on board if a celebrity edition of Fantastic race had to happen. The host even said, “Look, if we got enough interest and there were enough teams, why not? That could be fun. It sure is fun to talk about.” In the meantime, fans can catch a new season of Fantastic race, which airs Wednesday, January 5 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. This season is unlike any other, as the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the show to shut down amid production. Luckily, over a year after halting production, they’ve been able to find a way to end the season safely so fans can get their Fantastic race correct once more.
