NASCAR drivers hit track at Chili Bowl on Monday

Former Cup champion Chase Elliott is part of the NASCAR Cup contingent should compete on Monday on opening day of the Chili Bowl Nationals at the SageNet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The country’s first model car event goes through the main event on Saturday night. There are almost 400 entries. Twenty-four cars will earn a spot in the 55-lap main event on Saturday.

Elliott, Chase Briscoe and Alex bowman are on the entry list for Monday’s action. It is also planned to compete Jesse Amour, the two-time defending ARCA Menards Series West champion, and Carson Kvapil, who will compete for JR Motorsports Late Model Team this season.

Monday’s schedule also includes the annual Champions Race Vacuworx Invitational. Eighteen pilots will participate in this event, including the reigning Cup champion Kyle larson, Christophe bell and Elliott. This race is 25 laps.

Bell won the Race of Champions last year. Larson won the Chile Bowl Nationals last year for the second year in a row.

Practice Monday starts at 8 a.m. ET. The races are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET. FloRacing.com will broadcast the action.
