Reelin ‘in the new year

Welcome 2022 to the annual meeting Reelin ‘in the new year Street party at the wharf in Orange Beach. Say goodbye to 2021 in style with live bands, family-friendly activities, and adult entertainment that end at midnight with The Park Band, the marlin drop, and a final fireworks display. Give yourself one last excuse to let go and embrace this unforgettable New Years Eve from 5pm to midnight. Free entry and parking. Activities for children will range from $ 5 to $ 10.

The festivities include:

  • DJ Silky, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • 88 Licks Dueling Pianos, 6-9 p.m.

New year’s eve for children

the Interactive museum for children (CHOM) of Tuscaloosa hosts New Years Eve for children from 9:30 am to noon. A hot air balloon drop is scheduled for 11:30 am. All activities are included in the entry price. Visitors aged 2 and over must wear museum approved masks from entry to exit. New Years Eve for children is a safe distance event and admission will be limited. CHOM is located at 2213, boul. University. in Tuscaloosa.

New Year’s fireworks

OWA’s inaugural New Years Eve celebrations in Foley will be filled with entertainment for adults and the young at heart with fireworks well before midnight. The celebration features OWA’s Bubbles & Beats for Kids starting at 2 p.m., followed by the Downtown OWA Sparks & Sounds kick-off at 5 p.m. The event is perfect for little ones and adults who can’t quite make it to midnight. Children’s crafts include peel-and-stick glasses for the New Year 2022 and noisemaker’s wands. Quick bites are available at the Taste of OWA food truck parked near the Clash eSports Center, where patrons will find the prize for the scavenger hunt. Downtown OWA Sparks & Sounds will run from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on OWA Island. Guests can enjoy free live music from the Miles Flatt Band followed by The Tip Tops, with a fireworks display to end the evening at 8:50 p.m. For more information on the events, visit the website website.

Children’s Confetti Drop

Have a 2022 poppin ‘every year Children’s Confetti Drop at the dock at Orange Beach. Kids with bedtime well before midnight can ring in the New Years early with a petting zoo, rock wall, bouncy house, face painting ($ 10), camel rides ($ 5), a mechanical bull and a surf simulator. The confetti cannons will ring at noon for a colorful good time that the whole family can enjoy on New Years Eve from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free entry and parking. Activities for children will range from $ 5 to $ 10.

“Cinderella” is ongoing until Sunday, Jan. 2 at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The Tony Award-winning musical from the creators of “South Pacific and “The sound of music will delight audiences with its surprisingly contemporary take on the classic tale. Music is by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, new book by Douglas Carter Beane, original book by Oscar Hammerstein II and directed by Shelley Butler. Cheers! The New Year’s concert

Dance into the New Year with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra Friday, December 31 at 6 p.m. The SuperPops special event will have COVID-19 security protocols in place. New Years Eve Party in Iron City

“Beyond Van Gogh”

The masterpieces, now freed from frames, come to life, appear and disappear, and flow through surfaces. His own lyrics on a symphonic score will bring a new appreciation for the breathtaking work of the tortured artist. Glow Wild: An Animal Lantern Celebration

The larger-than-life illuminated experience runs on select nights through Monday, January 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Watch Birmingham Zoo come alive with breathtaking plant and animal lantern creations brilliantly illuminating the night . Take a ride on the Red Diamond Express train or take a ride on the Carousel of Protective Life. Glow Wild is a weather dependent event with nights subject to cancellation. Allow yourself a full hour to see each lantern and enjoy the whole event. the Birmingham Zoo will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
