In recent years, Somerset has proven to be a popular getaway for celebrities seeking peace and quiet, with megastars and cult heroes spotted throughout the county.
In the past year alone, the people of Somerset have been treated to the sigh of Hugh Grant eating a sausage roll and Jack Whitehall drinking wine with his father outside McDonald’s.
Actor Hugh Grant was seen on the streets of Frome as the third lockdown eased in April.

The lead man of Love Actually was recognized by the staff at Parsons Bakery, where he purchased a bacon bun, coffee, and a slice of custard.
Sophie Jayne Ilott, who worked as an executive assistant at the bakery, served the actor on Tuesday and said he was a “nice very polite and articulate.”
The actor was then spotted again in the county in June while filming a major film in Wells Cathedral.

Grant was filming for his villainous role in the adaptation of Dungeons and Dragons alongside fellow movie stars Chris Pine and Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page.
The 60-year-old actor was spotted wearing a white shirt, gold and purple patterned waistcoat and matching scarf as he paused between scenes.
The set of a major film prompted another celebrity to be seen in Bath this summer, when Fifty Shades of Gray star Dakota Johnson was seen on the Royal Crescent filming a new adaptation of Persuasion of Jane. Austen.
The cast and crew filmed in Bath in June and caused the closure of several roads, including Brock Street, Upper Church Street, Bath Street and Hot Bath Street.
Netflix has said the film will be “a witty, modern take on a beloved story,” adding that the adaptation will stay true to Austen’s classic novel.
Photos taken on the production set showed Dakota Johnson on the Royal Crescent wearing a green velvet coat and period costume on June 24.
Locals also spotted horse drawn carriages and costumed actors on Bath Street.
Elsewhere in Somerset, Jack Whitehall posted a TikTok of him and his father about to picnic outside Sparkford’s McDonald’s.
The couple were taking a break from filming their Netflix documentary series Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father.
Restaurant A303 is seen in the background as Jack briefly turns the camera while saying, “We could just get a McDonald’s – there’s literally one right there.”
However, Jack’s father, artistic agent and TV producer Michael Whitehall, insisted they should eat their packed lunch instead.
In the brief TikTok video, Michael can be seen sipping a glass of white wine perched in the cup holder, while a jar of Colman’s mustard is ready alongside homemade Scottish eggs.
Our latest celebrity scout came from Friends star Courteney Cox, who was spotted on a recent visit to Frome.
The 56-year-old shared a selfie with her Instagram story earlier this year in the Badcox area.
Cox was clearly amused by her namesake route, as she made sure that “6A Badcox” could be seen in the background of her photo and added the caption “6B Goodcox” to it.
The acclaimed actress also shared a photo on the social media platform with her partner, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, strolling through a wooded area next to a river, which could have been Mells or Great Elm.
This isn’t the first time that Cox, whose acting credits also include the satirical slasher franchise Scream, has visited the area.
She made a memorable and eventful stopover at Babington House, a 15-minute drive from Frome, in 2018 for New Years Eve.
