Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital names new CEO | News, Sports, Jobs

PARKERSBURG — Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Parkersburg has appointed a new CEO.

Nate Ford will oversee all day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 3 Western Hills Drive. Ford’s appointment took effect Nov. 15.

“Nate brings to his new role more than nine years of clinical leadership and healthcare experience at other Encompass Health hospitals, and I am confident he will make an outstanding contribution to Encompass Health of Parkersburg,” Robb Williams, CEO of the MidAtlantic region of Encompass Health, said. “Nate shares our values ​​and commitment to exceptional patient care and will continue to improve the high quality rehabilitation care our hospital provides to patients in the Parkersburg community and beyond.”

Ford joined Encompass Health in June 2012 as a registered nurse, then nurse supervisor and head nurse at Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Phenix City, Ala.

In 2018, Ford joined the leadership team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he served as associate administrator of the 50-bed hospital.

He most recently served as CEO of Shelby County Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Pelham, Ala. In this role, he rebuilt the leadership team, improved hospital culture and staff engagement, and improved key operational performance indicators, while managing the challenges presented by the global COVID pandemic.

Ford earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Chattahoochee Valley Community College and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Illinois.

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Parkersburg provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services to patients recovering from conditions such as strokes and other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic conditions and heart and lung conditions.
